Have you ever had a fruit tree? Or a garden? Nature can be humbling. As the first hint of spring hit weeks ago, fruit trees began to show their blossoms. If you do have a fruit tree, you are well aware of what comes next. You count the flowers, dreaming of all the perfect fruit you will harvest this year. However, once you have been through a few seasons, you realize many of those flowers won’t even germinate and turn into little buds. Even fewer will mature to be full size fruit. The same is true for every lead and prospect . . . |

Twitter, Facebook, and social activism : The New Yorker:
Malcolm Gladwell has gotten his toes wet with twitter and is convinced it is more puddle than pond - let alone a revolutionary tidal wave for changing the world as we know it. The more things change....

Sure There's Water, But Is It Safe To Drink?
Sure There's Water, But Is It Safe To Drink?:
There is a biological, self-preservative instinct in our need to go back to the same creek or well. Our reptilian brain makes the connection that we have drunk from this water source before; it’s safe to do so again . . .

Is the web really dead? - Boing Boing
Once again Boing Boing offers some smart analysis of other people's analysis -- a-a-ah, critical thinking!
Everyone take note, you're allowed to question what you read!
I also love Wired. I respect their effort to encourage debate and discussion.
I greatly respect BoingBoing for checking the data and re-interpreting it.
In any case, give this / these a peek.
